LO2 Textual analysis

Ellis character is the bad guy
Toby's character is the good guy

Examples of mise en scene in these rushes are how our main character wears dark clothing showing that he isn't a good person and has done many bad things as the protagonist of our short film is actually the bad guy as this is his story. The antagonist is our good guy and we can tell he is the good guy because that he doesn't do any of the same things that the protagonist do. we also show him in the white clothing and in bright light such as sun light as light and the colour white are traditionally seen as good and pure whereas with black it seems evil and bad.

Another scene with Ellis that shows some editing techniques is when he kills Toby's character he sits in chair and has a flash black of toby's character and him before he killed him.

Another example of a mise en scene technique is when toby is killed it is during the day and dies in light showing that he is good but at the end scene with Ellis it is a lot darker but not black proving that there is still a chance of redemption

On premier pro with scene that Ellis is in we deliberately use premier pro colour palette to make the video darker to emphasis that he isn't a good person we had to do this because we filmed during the day.
